Special Reserve - Double Cask Whisky
$145.00
A note on our whisky bottle closures
Our whisky bottles use a traditional two-part cork stopper - a natural cork seated in the bottle, topped with a wooden cap. Occasionally (roughly 1 in 1,000 bottles), the cap can separate from the cork during opening, leaving the cork itself in the neck of the bottle.
If this happens to you, don't worry - it's an easy fix with a standard corkscrew, and it doesn't affect the whisky at all. But if you'd prefer, just get in touch with us and we'll sort it out. We're happy to help and will make it right.
First cask: Pinot Barrel
Second cask: Port Barrel
A creamy full-bodied whisky with a smooth rich after taste.
Our whisky begins with natural spring water sourced right here from Lammermoor Station. After distilling, it's aged on site in locally sourced Central Otago Pinot Noir Barrels made from French Oak.
Our climatic conditions are dramatic and this encourages the whisky to breath in the wood depending on the weather. On a hot day the wood expands allowing the whisky to breathe more, while on a cold day it contracts. This all helps in the ageing process of our whisky.
This Whisky has fabulous colour and maturity for its age, but our extreme hot and cold climate accentuate and in fact accelerate these complex processes.
This is a limited bottling, once it is gone, that's it forever until our next batch release.
